Nilagang Baboy Using Pork Sinigang Cut

INGREDIENTS

  • 1kg The Good Meat Pork Sinigang Cut
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 onion, peeled and chopped
  • ½ teaspoon peppercorns, cracked
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 2 pcs potato, sliced and quartered
  • 2 bunches pechay, ends trimmed and leaves separated
  • Salt to taste

PROCEDURE

  1. Over medium heat, add water and pork into a pot. Let it boil, and remove the scum that floats on top.
  2. Once broth is clear, add fish sauce, peppercorns, and onions. Boil for another 1-2 mins. 

  3. Decrease the heat, but cover and cook for another 40-45 minutes until pork is tender. Add more water as needed. 

  4. Add chopped potatoes and let it cook until tender.
  5. Add the greens, and cook for only a minute.
  6. Add salt to taste. Serve hot in a bowl.
